Tour operator Wild Voyager, which offers safari and nature experiences, has launched to the UK market with an ambition for 80% of sales to be via the trade.

The company, which already has offices in the US, India and Kenya, has appointed Sophie McCarthy as its UK representative.

She said: “I am excited to be part of the Wild Voyager family and bring exceptional safaris and nature-based journeys to the UK audience. The company’s commitment to sustainability and authentic experiences truly resonates with travellers.”

Wild Voyager founder Alankar Chandra said travel agents should expect commission levels in the range of 10%-20%, adding that “80% of sales are expected to be through the trade”.

McCarthy has previously worked for brands including Six Senses Resorts & Spas, Soneva, Alila Hotels and Resorts and Anahita Golf & Spa Resort.

Chandra said: “Her vast experience, in-depth understanding of the UK luxury travel landscape and deep-rooted passion for crafting meaningful travel experiences align perfectly with our mission of connecting people to nature through immersive journeys.

“The appointment underscores our commitment to offering bespoke luxe experiences to UK travellers.”

The tour operator’s signature trips are East Africa safari experiences.
